God's Great Work is Moving Forward
Since the launch of the Bethel Hall project, God has revealed His desire for victory in our inner lives and in building us up inwardly, particularly in areas like unity, prayer, overcoming mammon, wisdom, and spiritual inheritance. Through the building of Bethel Hall, God wants to make SVCA a church better suited for His use and a witness for generations to come.

The Glory of This Latter House Shall Be Greater Than the Former
In 2008, when I first arrived at SVCA, the new Bethany Hall for 450 people had just been put to use. I remember that the Bethel hall was still a vacant site, filled with many dismantled items. Many weekends, I would join brothers and sisters to clean, level the ground, remove debris, and repair the leaky roof.

God Who Hears Our Prayers
Why do we need CUP clearance? This piece of land which God brought us into was originally zoned for industrial use in the City's Land Use Plan, which meant it had not been intended for church use. We went through a lengthy use permit application process and fought many spiritual battles with the Lord's help, eventually obtaining a City issued conditional use permit (CUP).

Brother Zhou ➤ At the recent Labor Day conference, I experienced being filled with the Holy Spirit. When I saw families from children to the elderly lining up together, talking and laughing joyfully as they made their offerings, my heart was filled with great joy. Seeing the entire church united in building the Bethel Hall, I knew that the Lord Jesus is doing a revival work among us. I came to our church in July 2008. When I saw the thousand-seat auditorium sitting idle, my heart ached, feeling it was such a waste. When I learned more about how Pastor Yu led the entire church through experiencing the power of Jesus' words and His will, and how the whole church united in offerings to acquire this holy land at 3131 Bowers Ave that the Lord Jesus gave us, these miraculous testimonies deeply touched my heart. I asked the Lord Jesus: "You have already brought me to SVCA, what can I do?" I remember that at the beginning of 2017, I was moved by the Holy Spirit to come to the Bethel site half an hour before the Tuesday evening prayer meeting to kneel and pray. Later, due to the coronavirus, this stopped. In recent years, when Pastor Yu sounded the trumpet again to prepare for building Bethel, and many building messages encouraged us all, "Revival, Building, Legacy!" I thank and praise the Lord Jesus for giving me the opportunity to participate in the building ministry in my limited years, thank and praise the Lord Jesus for His grace! (11/2024)
Brother Victor ➤ At this LDC conference, I was happy to see everyone gathering with one heart because of "Bethel Hall Building", praying and calling out on that currently somewhat desolate site. We cannot let God's house lie in ruins - this is the spirit God's people should have. I am thankful that God gave me the opportunity to contribute to rebuilding God's temple as part of the building communications team. I deeply know that having the chance to build the church together with the Lord's people in one's lifetime is a blessing! I don't want to miss this wonderful blessing. (11/2024)
Brother J ➤ During the Labor Day Sunday special offering for the building, watching brothers and sisters walk in batches into the Bethel Hall construction site to make their offerings, parents leading their children to pray at the offering box for the building, the scene described in 1 Chronicles 29 of the Israelites freely and joyfully offering for the Lord's temple seemed to happen right before my eyes. The joy and gratitude of building together is happening so truly among us. God is truly in our midst! (11/2024)
